Camping

This weekend we went camping with Josh's parents and brothers. It was the first time we have all been camping together. We had a great time with everyone, Katy had so much fun playing with her cousins.

 

We took our bikes up and went for a bike ride with Katy. She had fun riding her bike all around.

 

Jake found the dishwater and played with his trains in it...and got a little bit clean in the process!

 

 

The boys and kids had fun shooting targets with rifles and air guns.

Jeff brought his dutch ovens and he and Christy did all the cooking. Needless to say it was really really good!!

 

Josh's mom really wanted a picture of all the grandkids. You can tell they weren't too happy at having their picture taken.

We had a really good time and hopefully can do it again with everyone.

Slip n Slide in the Gardens

 Monday, my mom and I took Katy, Jake and Nathan to Thanksgiving Point to a Slip N Slide activity they were having. We had a picnic dinner in the children's garden and went sliding down the hills. Their favorite was splashing in the Noah's Ark splash pool. It was such a beautiful evening and we had so much fun with the kids.

Bounce...Bounce...Bounce!!!

Jake loves to jump on the tramp and is getting really good at it. I took my camera out to record it and he was just hamming it up. The whole time he is jumping he is saying "cheeeese, cheeeese" at the end he comes up and poses for a picture. He is so dang cute!!!

Update on Josh

As most of you have heard, Josh has a Tumor. Although it is a modest size tumor, it isn't touching anything and isn't cancerous. He is on medication to treat it and is okay. We are so blessed to have caught it at an early stage and I am so thankful for Josh..tumor and all :)

Silver Lake

 Its been so hot that a few Sundays ago we decided to go up to silver lake and enjoy the cooler weather. It was so nice up there and the kids had so much fun running on the trails and exploring.

Jake was so funny, he wouldn't turn around for the camera, he just wanted to run!

 

 

We were sitting and eating lunch and I was watching Jake play when I heard a crinkling right by me, I looked down and saw a squirrel eating my lunch, it was not more than 2 feet from me. It kept coming back for more it wasn't afraid of us at all.

It was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Our Summer...Part 2

We had the kids' family party and had a bbq and swimming for the kids. It was so much fun and was nice to see all the family.

 

Jake got a tiger from his uncle and was so excited, he kept hugging it and dancing.

The cakes, I ran out of steam decorating and instead of making a soccer ball I made Jake a blue playground ball, Josh teased me all night about his blue ball :)

The next week was Jakes birthday, I can't believe he is 2 already!! He looks so big on his truck and was so excited.

 

Our summer....part one...

 We had a crazy fun July, we started by going down to Blanding and going camping on the Elk Ridge. Katy had a blast with all the other kids.

We had so much fun camping and Jake did pretty good. He loved to run up the dirt road and "explore". The first night got a little cold so the second night I threw the blow up mattress in the Yukon and slept with Jake in there, he liked that a lot better. The weather was perfect and Josh's Aunt Dawnie had so many fun crafts and activites for the kids to do. I am looking forward to next years campout.

We had Katy's friend party on her birthday, she wanted a swim party again.

 

Yep, thats right...theres 10 of them!! They all had a blast, they swam, had pizza and watched Barbie Thumbelina.

 

Moab

We went to Moab for Mothers Day this spring, unfortunately Jacob got sick the day we left so we ended up coming home early, but here are some of the highlights...

2 weeks later we went down to Moab again and had a blast, we also spend a few days visiting Josh's grandpa in Blanding.

No...we are not taking one home!!

 Sunday, the kids and I went up to Josh's brothers house to see his family and the new baby kittens his cat just had. It was nice to catch up and see everyone, Katy had so much fun with her cousins. Jake absolutely loved the kittens..he just wanted to squeeze and hug them so bad. Surprisingly, he was pretty good with them.

He loved having all the kittens on his lap, he kept counting them and pointing to them.
